Divix Golf was initially founded as a partnership in 1992 under the name of GT Knives. Todd Jones, the founder of Divix Golf along with Greg Bark, manufactured high-quality tactical switchblade knives that were distributed to law enforcement agencies and the United States military.
In early 1998, Jones had an idea to pursue a similar switchblade-like product using a fork rather than a knife blade. After only a day, Todd created a prototype that was made of aluminum and had additional features incorporating a ball marker, club rest, and cigar punch all in the same product. The Divix divot tool was born.
Production of the aluminum handled tool began in late 1998 and carbon graphite would eventually replace that aluminum in 2000. After an incredible response and sales, Divix became its own corporation branching off from GT Knives in 2002. In 2005 Divix developed a mini hat clip with removable ballmarker, and one year later launched the Groover -- a switchblade brush tool with retractable scribe and adjustable-length brush for cleaning club faces.
Today, Divix continues to push the performance capabilities for all our products with an unmatched commitment to research and development. We share the same passion for the game of golf as our customers and have converted that passion into a commercial success dating back to the tool's patent in 1999. Design and production of additional golf accessories followed the Divix divot tool, and are made with the same quality and performance, propelling the Divix Golf brand to a leadership position in the current marketplace.
